First Aid Equipment Delivered to the Municipality of Aigialeia
Free First Aid equipment was delivered on Thursday 27/7 to the Mayor of Aigialeia, Mr. Dimitris Kalogeropoulos, by the Bennett Pharmaceutical Industry, in the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Welfare, Ms. Diamanto Vasilakopoulou-Kartsonaki, and the Deputy Mayor, Mr. Nikos Karaiskos.
The Mayor of Aigialeia, Mr. Dimitris Kalogeropoulos, stated: "I want to thank the company for its cooperation and contribution, which has a strong social character. Taking into account the difficult conditions our local community is going through and especially the issues arising from extreme natural phenomena, the contribution is of particular value."
Ms. Vasilakopoulou-Kartsonaki, after thanking the company for accepting the request of the Municipality, referred to the importance of this initiative, declaring that: "The Deputy Mayoralty of Welfare in cooperation with the Civil Protection of the Municipality of Aigialeia will make the equipment available to rural health clinics located in remote villages of the Municipality. We believe that we will help our fellow human beings not only now, during the heat wave, but also in the winter with the snow, when our fellow human beings often need help, until they reach the hospital. With the items inside the first aid kits, the people of the area will be able to provide first aid, if there is no doctor."
The Deputy Mayor, Mr. Nikos Karaiskos, added: "The strategy of the municipal authority is to become more effective. Thank you for supporting us in this effort."
"Bennett Pharmaceutical Industry, as part of its corporate social policy, immediately responded to the request of the Municipality of Aigialeia, through the Deputy Mayor, for the provision of medical equipment for remote areas of the Municipality of Aigialeia. I believe that we tried to do our best and we will always be by your side in any such action," stated the Director of the Bennett Pharmaceutical Industry of Western Greece, Mr. Vassilios Sarakinis.
